The core charge of Youth With Vision is advocacy. Members work to pass ordinances and legislation in their schools, communities and state, including Keg Registration, Minor In Possession by Consumption, Smoke-Free communities and Banning of AWOL (Alcohol without liquid) devices in Missouri. Youth With Vision members were also instrumental in passing the law in Missouri which bans all synthetic drugs (including K2, spice and bath salts).
Annually, Youth With Vision members evaluate their slate of legislative priorities (attached). Two trips are made to the capital in Jefferson City, Missouri for Youth With Vision members to meet with elected officials from their county to present these priorities.
